How EzyFund Works
You check the cost, fill in a short form, and a registered South African lender takes it from there. This is what happens along the way, and roughly how long each part takes.
- Check the cost
- Apply online
- Lender reviews
- Sign and get paid
From Calculator To Cash In Six Steps
Nothing happens without you saying yes. You can stop at any point before you sign.
Check The Cost
Use our loan calculator to pick an amount from R500 to R8,000 and a term of 1 to 6 months. It shows the most the loan can cost under the National Credit Act, so the quote you get later won’t be a shock.
- Interest and fees in rands
- First and repeat loan rates
Fill In One Short Form
Who you are, what you earn, what goes out each month. That is most of it. Your details are sent over an encrypted connection.
- No documents to upload
- Free, with no obligation
We Send It To A Registered Lender
Once you agree, we pass your application to a credit provider registered with the National Credit Regulator. You don’t have to go looking for one yourself.
- Handled in line with POPIA
- No cost to you
The Lender Checks Affordability
Lenders have to do this by law. They check your credit record and work out whether the repayments fit your budget. Expect a call, or a request for a payslip or bank statements.
- Credit record check
- Income and expenses review
Review Your Quote
If the lender can help, you get a pre-agreement statement and quotation with the full cost on it. Take your time with it. Saying no is completely fine.
- Every fee shown in writing
- No obligation to accept
Sign And Get Paid
After you sign, the money goes into your bank account. Repayments normally come off by debit order on payday.
- Repay over 1 to 6 months
- Payout time depends on your bank
What You'll Need
Have these ready and the process goes faster.
For The EzyFund Form
You won’t need to upload anything. It’s all stuff you know off the top of your head.
- Your South African ID number
- Your monthly income and expenses
- Your employer or income source
- Your bank name and account type
- A cellphone number and email address
What The Lender May Ask For
Some lenders want proof before they approve the loan. Having these handy can save a day.
- A copy of your ID
- Your latest payslip
- Your last 3 months of bank statements
- Proof of address
How Long Does It Take?
The form is quick. The lender’s review is where most of the waiting happens.

The lender pays the loan into your account
- Applied on a Friday night or a Sunday? It will usually be picked up on the next business day.
The National Credit Act Protects You
Short-term lending in South Africa is regulated, and these rules work in your favour.
A Written Quote First
The lender has to show you the full cost in writing before you sign. Total, instalments, fees, all of it.
No Obligation
Applying through EzyFund does not commit you to anything. If the offer doesn't suit you, turn it down.
Costs Capped By Law
Interest is capped at 5% a month on a first short-term loan, with set limits on fees.
Settle Early
Paid early? You only owe what has built up to that date, so finishing sooner costs less.
How Repaying Your Loan Works
Your agreement lists each instalment and its date before you sign. Nothing should come off your account that you did not agree to.
- Repayments are usually collected by debit order on your payday
- Pay it back in one go or over up to 6 monthly instalments
- Struggling to pay? Speak to your lender before the payment date

Questions About The Process
Common questions about applying and paying back.
How Long Does The Application Take?
About 3 minutes to fill in the form. How long the review takes depends on the lender; most review applications during business hours.
Do I Need To Upload Documents?
Not for the EzyFund form. Before approving a loan, the lender may ask for a copy of your ID, a recent payslip or bank statements.
Will The Lender Check My Credit Record?
Yes. Registered lenders must assess your credit record and your affordability before they lend. A poor record does not automatically rule you out, but approval is never guaranteed.
Can I Apply At Night Or On Weekends?
Yes, the form is online all the time. Lenders usually review applications during business hours, so a weekend application is often looked at on the next business day.
What If I Change My Mind?
You don’t have to accept a quote. If you have already signed and want to cancel, contact the lender as soon as possible to ask about your options.
How Do I Repay The Loan?
Usually by debit order from your bank account on payday, in 1 to 6 monthly instalments, exactly as set out in your agreement.
What If I Can't Make A Repayment?
Contact your lender before the payment date to discuss your options. If you are struggling with debt, the National Credit Regulator (0860 627 627) can refer you to a registered debt counsellor.
Ready To See What You Could Borrow?
Run your numbers through the calculator first. If they work for you, the form takes about 3 minutes and you’re under no obligation.
